I was interrupted by a nasty imp, who thoughtlessly bit off my closing sentence which goes as follows: first and foremost on my buckett list would be to see and hear Simon sing “An die Musik”. Then I could freely
slink off into afterlife gratified, satisfied with tears of fullfilment running down my cheeks.

SORRY, this is MY fault – I forgot this date – just looked up the dates his agency tells us. YES 19th is among them – will add the date next minutes.

This information from La Scala web-site about Le Nozze di Figaro cast:

Carlos Àlvarez (26, 29 Oct; 2, 5 Nov.)
Simon Keenlyside (8, 10, 16, 19, 24, 27 Nov.)

But there is no information concerning the date of 19th November in Simon’s schedule here.
Is it possible to know exactly if he will sing on this date?

Hello,
According to Simon`s schedule of Askonas Holt Simon won`t sing Germont in Munich, but on this fanwebsite and the stafflist of the Bavarian Opera there isn`t to read that he will withdraw from the two evenings “La Traviata”on 15th and 18th July. Who knows about it? Thanks in advance!

In view of the current ‘news drought’, I though Simon’s admirers would be pleased to hear that a short excerpt from Chabrier’s Briséïs ou Les Amants de Corinthe will be broadcast during Composer of the Week on BBC Radio 3 at 12.00 and at 18.30 on Friday 13 November. Or listen again on iPlayer.
