The Vienna State Opera will broadcast Simon’s performance as Don Giovanni from 29 January 2017 next Monday, 25 May, at 17.00 hrs local time. The video stream will be available to watch for 23 hours. The broadcast is free of charge, but you will need to register beforehand. Click on photo above for more information… (NB Vienna’s streaming schedule is subject to change…)

Better late than never! Belated news that the video stream of Simon singing Prospero in The Tempest from the Metropolitan Opera, New York, is currently available to watch on the Met’s website until 6.30pm New York time tonight (11.30 pm in the UK). Broadcast News
Apologies for our lack of posts over the past few days – we have been experiencing some technical issues. We are now happy to advise that there will be two free video streams next week featuring Simon, plus a broadcast on Italian TV.
The Vienna State Opera will broadcast Pelléas and Mélisande on Sunday 03 May at 19.00 hrs local time. The video stream will be available to watch for 24 hours. The broadcast is free of charge, but you will need to register beforehand. Click on photo above for more information…
And the Metropolitan Opera, New York, will broadcast Simon’s wonderful performance as Hamlet on Tuesday 05 May. The time is to be confirmed, but is usually at 18.30 hrs NY time, and the broadcast will be available to watch for 24 hours. Click here for more information…
The 1995 production of Die Zauberflöte from the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, in which Simon sings Papageno, will be broadcast on Italian TV channel Rai5 at 10.00 on Wednesday 06 May and then on Raiplay.it. It is, however, unlikely that this will be available to watch outside Italy. Click here for more information….

Another new date for 2021
Simon will sing eight songs by Sibelius at the Gasteig, Munich, in February 2021, with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Franz Welser-Möst. Click on screenshot above for more information…
More cancellations for 2020
Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, the Austrian Federal Government announced yesterday that all indoor events of more than 100 participants due to take place up to 30 June 2020 will now be cancelled. This means that Simon’s concert in April with Marina Rebeka at the Konzerthaus, Vienna, will not now take place. The June performances of La Traviata and Falstaff at the Vienna State Opera have also been cancelled.
